Hi there! I’m Paul!
I’m a visual communicator with over fifteen years experience. I’ve worked with marketing firms, educational institutions, government sponsors, commercial firms, and private individuals to help them tell their story in a way that resonates with a wide audience. Allow me to tell you my story, and then perhaps we can work together to tell yours!
Storytelling
Ever since I first put pencil to paper as a child, I have loved the concept of telling stories through a visual means. I would doodle on worksheets and tests in class, create short comic strips about myself and my friends, and take requests from others to draw whatever strange things they wanted pictured and then delight in their reactions.
As a visual communications professional, I stand by that same enthusiasm to help others tell the story they want to tell. I strive to understand not just the main points but learn deeper about the subject matter to understand the nuances, the audience, and the intended objective of any work I start upon. I also believe in the value of iteration, to work and rework an idea until we arrive at a product that everyone is pleased with.

Design Categories
The bulk of my design work can be broken up into a four categories: Environment Design, Process Design, Iconographic Design, and Illustration. Click on the sections below to see a bit more of my work for each!
Environment Design
Environment Designs are designs that show the interaction between several different partners in a space. Examples would be things like operational views, network architectures, and collaboration diagrams.
Process Design
Process Designs are designs that provide insight into the steps involved with procedures. The goal of these is to allow the reader to quickly understand the steps to reach a successful conclusion. Examples could take the form of comic strips, directed sequences, or even short animations.
Iconographic Design
Iconographic Design refers to designs related to the development of simple images that say a great deal. Icons and logos are valuable crystallizations of a client’s vision, and I believe they deserve careful consideration.
Illustration
Illustration has been a core part of my life for years, and I enjoy being able to use it to help clients realize their goals. I believe using tailored illustrations provides a level of accuracy that elevates the communication potential of client work products.

Pricing is based on both the project's scope and your desired timeline. (I promise fair rates and will always require your approval before we begin).

Timelines depend on the project, but I generally dedicate up to a month to each client, with the possibility of an extension based on my availability.
